Have you ever been to Club Amnesia? It's on Valencia St. in the mission. It's a great little place with sexy red lighting and a lot of soul. I can't forget to mention the great beer selection! Every night there is something going on, but my favorite night is Bextalo Drom. As you have probably guessed it- it's gypsy music themed. There is a lot of singing, live music, and dancing, but the best part of the night is when the belly dancers of Ultra Gypsy jump on stage to perform. They're sexy, playful, and hypnotizing. This night happeneds every fourth friday of the month.

I couldn't agree more. I've never been to club Amnesia, but I always enjoy finding new places with a different variety of venues such as music, theatre, or a club/ dance scene. Especially places that play real music and showcase truly talented people, unlike all the crap played on the radio. Your writing style is very descriptive, straightforward and sweet. It reminds me of a review I would read in a newspaper or online about a movie or a popular club. The way you mention the lighting sets the atmosphere of an intriguing night for whatever happens at club Amnesia.

I haven't been to club Amnesia but I have heard of it. Anyway, this place sounds great! I'm not familiar with gypsy music at all and I love going to new places, so I will probably ceck this place out.
In general, the mission has good night life. I don't go there too often but when I do I always have a good time. Not too long ago, I went to Medjool. It's a restaurant and lounge...the atmosphere is pretty cool. You should definitely check it out if you get a chance.
